MARYLAND SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT
Promotional social media content made for Maryland. In preparation of a new cookie flavour they launched, I was tasked to create parody online dating assets and interactive content for their social media pages as that was the theme of the flavour. This involved creating biscuit characters from scratch and using them to make memes, interactive games and comedic dating profiles based on the popular online dating apps ‘Bumble & Tinder.’
The parody dating profiles. Maryland described the personalities they wanted the characters to express so I took that inspiration to create the look of them. You have the quirky and upbeat ‘Mintie’ (which is actually the new choc & mint cookie they were launching). As well as the nerdy rich tea biscuit ‘Rich T’ & the gym hunk ‘Max Millions’.
Following the high number of interactions on the previous social media campaign, I was later asked to design 2 other cookie characters for 2 more new cookie flavours they were launching known as ‘Hazelnutter’ & ‘Jaffanator’. Similar to the previous campaign, Maryland gave me a brief bio on each of the cookies’ personality which then inspired the look of them. Hazelnutter is the goofy, light-hearted comic-relief character while ‘Jaffanotor’ is the all serious, get things going type of character.
